US: Hotel operations platform ALICE has launched a free product to support hoteliers through times of low occupancy or closure.

ALICE’s COVID-19 Checklists Software is available to download now, and provides a suite of tools to help manage properties and keep staff organised for the following procedures:

  • Room maintenance
  • Operating with low occupancy and managing room inventory
  • Temporarily shutting rooms, floors, or buildings
  • Temporarily switching off all physical and digital systems

The checklists are printable and mobile-enabled, and can be utilised to streamline task management and track progress.

Jeff Parker, hotel operations expert, said: "COVID-19 is a unique cultural, environmental, and economic hardship for hoteliers... one where we are being asked to make cuts in places that seemed unimaginable a short time ago. These checklists will help hoteliers to prepare for re-opening to extend hospitality to guests once again.”

Other ALICE products include its housekeeping solution that was launched in the summer of 2019. The platform optimises room assignments and streamlines communication between hotel staff across all departments, and is entirely customisable based on department needs.

The company recently announced plans to expand its business with Nordic Choice Hotels to 130 properties.
