UK: Pan Pacific London, the brand’s first in the capital, has announced the appointment of Steven Drewery as executive assistant manager.

Drewery joins the Pan Pacific team from The Biltmore Mayfair, where he oversaw the pre-opening and operational activity for the first London outpost of Hilton’s upmarket brand, LXR Hotels & Resorts.

He has experience in luxury hotel management and F&B operations, including positions at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Conrad in Tokyo, and Peninsula Hong Kong.

In his new role, Drewery will support general manager Anne Golden on strategic decision making, as well as overseeing food and beverage operations.

He said: “I am thrilled to work on Pan Pacific London’s management team in a leadership capacity with Anne. I see it as an exciting challenge, especially overseeing the F&B operations, as each of the concepts should attract a wide diversity of guests and be appreciated by Londoners and visitors alike. I feel privileged to launch this hospitality offering – an unparalleled luxury address for the city which will showcase warm Asian hospitality for today’s discerning traveller.”

Golden added: “Steven is passionate and determined and I’m thrilled to welcome him onboard to help execute our strategy and launch Pan Pacific London. With extensive operational and commercial leadership experience, Steven brings a clear vision to put Pan Pacific London on the map with an international audience and I very much look forward to working with him on this project as we prepare to open the hotel in Autumn 2020.”

Set to open its doors in Autumn 2020, Pan Pacific London is a mixed-use development at One Bishopsgate Plaza.

The hotel will feature an entire floor dedicated to guest wellbeing with an 18-metre infinity pool, the first ballroom in the square mile with two combinable areas, as well as meeting and function spaces totalling almost 341 square-feet.
