UK: The West London Hotel Managers Association will be hosting a London Unites for Grenfell Tower Charity Event on 18 July 2017.

The event, held in conjunction with the Kensington Chamber of Commerce, FR Events, BITA and like-minded organisations, will raise funds for the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.

The idea was pioneered Edward Bracken, the general manager of the Crowne Plaza Kensington. As a hotelier in the Kensington area, he has galvanised his network to come together to host a charity dinner to raise funds for those affected.

Bracken said: "I have lived and worked in London for the last 20 years and have been welcomed by the people of this city. I was deeply shocked to hear what had happened and wanted to do something to help the people devastated by the sudden loss of family, loved ones, friends, neighbours and their homes. I met a survivor from Grenfell who told me his story, and I desperately felt the urge to help and knew that there would be other people like me who could come together to support too "

The London Unites charity event will be held at Novotel London West, where general manager Michael Sloan has kindly donated the Champagne Suite and food for the evening, with capacity to accommodate up to 1,000 people. Generous support has also been shown from many companies buying tables at the event or donating money and time. Any additional contributions to the event will be welcomed and greatly appreciated by the event organisers.

Tickets to the London Unites for Grenfell Tower Charity Event are £100 per person or £1,000 for a table of ten. The price includes a three-course dinner with music and entertainment, an auction and silent auction, taking place from 7pm until 1am.

The London Unites team has been liaising with the independent charities to ensure that all money raised will go directly to those affected. To reserve a ticket for the event, please contact info@frevents.com or click here.
