Virgin Hotels Miami

Developed by Blue Jay Capital with BLUR Workshop as the architect, the hotel will be managed by Virgin. It is located at 1040 S. Miami Avenue in the Brickell neighbourhood and will comprise 40 storeys with 250 guest rooms.

Other facilities include over 15,000 square feet of meeting and event space, multiple dining and drinking outlets, a beer garden with live music venue, and a communal workspace called Funny Library Coffee shop.

The hotel is slated to open in 2023.

Featuring 225 guest rooms and grand suites, the hotel will be completed in partnership with owner Flemyn and asset managed by Siggis Capital. Construction is currently in progress in both the landmark India Buildings at 1-6 Victoria Street, and the new Southern extension which is nearing completion to 10 storeys.

“Edinburgh is such an iconic city and we’re thrilled to be able to say it will be the home of the first Virgin Hotel in the UK and across Europe,” said Sir Richard Branson.

The property is expected to open in 2022.

Virgin Hotels New York City

Opening in the NoMad district of Manhattan, the hotel will feature around 500 rooms, multiple food and beverage experiences, meeting spaces and more. The Lam Group will develop the project, which is located on the northwest corner of 29th Street and Broadway.

It is expected to open in 2021.

Virgin Hotels New Orleans

Situated in the city’s Warehouse District at 550 Baronne Street, the new build hotel will feature 225 rooms, a rooftop pool and lounge, and dedicated meeting and event spaces.

RTKL Architects, Mathes Brierre Architects, and Broadmoor Construction will oversee the build. Virgin Hotels’ vice president of design, Teddy Mayer, has also tapped a local design firm for the interiors.

CEO of Virgin Hotels, Raul Leal, said: “New Orleans is an incredibly special city and one Virgin Hotels has had an eye on from the beginning. The history, the food, the music, the spirit – they all work together to make it a one-of-a-kind destination for both business and leisure travellers. We’re excited to bring the Virgin experience to the Big Easy because it’s a perfect fit in terms of our values and our emphasis on creating unique and immersive experiences for our guests.”

The hotel will open in 2021.

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas

Formerly the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, the reimagined hotel will feature 1,504 rooms grand suites and penthouse suites, a 60,000 square-foot renovated casino, multiple pools spread over five acres, several restaurants, lounges and bars, as well as numerous meeting spaces.

Branson said: “Las Vegas has always held a special place in my heart. Virgin Atlantic and Virgin America have enjoyed flying many passengers and holiday makers to Las Vegas over the years and, I’ve always felt that Virgin Hotels will thrive there as well. I’m looking forward to Virgin Hotels painting the town red.”

Leal added: “Las Vegas is a dynamic city – the people, the excitement, the entertainment. To me, it’s always been the perfect city for our next Virgin Hotel. We are dedicated to delivering the best in design, entertainment, heartfelt service and culinary excellence and we can’t wait to welcome visitors to what is sure to be an awe-inspiring Las Vegas experience.”

Of all the openings scheduled for 2021, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will be the first to launch this year.
