Worldwide: Private tour and experiences provider Travel Curious is partnering with Preferred Hotels & Resorts, offering guests access to over 900+ tour guides and activities.

The partnership will give travellers who stay across Preferred’s portfolio the opportunity to book guides and activities through Travel Curious. Itineraries will be integrated into Preferred’s online booking process.

Upon booking, a Travel Curious customer service agent will work directly with the guest to ensure that personal needs are met. Tours can be customised, and Travel Curious will use its proprietary match and dispatch engine to select the most suitable guide.

Travel Curious has handpicked over 900 guides in 62 cities around the world. The company creates and operates all its tours, and offers the ability to book instantly.

Alex Grant, chief product officer at Travel Curious, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Preferred Hotels & Resorts at this time in our development, when we have built up a network of more than 900 handpicked guides, operating a huge range of bespoke, local and cultural tours and experiences in more than 62 cities, and believe this alliance to be a great match.

“We have a complementary destination footprint, and we’re excited to work towards expanding this partnership over the coming years. The importance of a safe, premium experience for guests is paramount to both organisations, and we look forward to implementing our booking widgets and working closely with Preferred to make the digital customer journey seamless.

Grant added: “We are looking forward to offering the guests of Preferred Hotels & Resorts unique perspectives on the places they are visiting with guides who are not only local insiders, but story-tellers at heart. Whether it is a former Oxford Union President taking you behind the scenes in Oxford, or a special early morning private viewing in the Sistine Chapel before the crowds, they are exciting prospects for any traveller.”

Kristie Goshow, chief marketing officer at Preferred Hotels & Resorts, said: “More than ever, our guests seek tailor-made immersion with local communities in a format truly designed around their needs and expectations. We are thrilled to embark on this new partnership with Travel Curious to support local tour guides and businesses and propel sustainable destination tourism – a valuable perspective that Preferred Hotels & Resorts passionately champions.”

Travel Curious is a London-based travel tech company that provides bespoke tours and experiences. Its partners include Marriott Bonvoy Tours and Experiences and CLC World and Resorts.

Preferred Hotel & Resorts represents more than 750 hotels, resorts, residences and hotel groups across 85 countries.
