US: EDITION Hotels and Project 0 team up to support marine conservation

EDITION Hotels and Project 0 have announced a partnership to raise awareness about the issue of marine conservation.

The partnership officially began on September 10 at the New York EDITION, where the first in a series of salons titled "Undoing It Together" took place at the glamorous Clocktower bar and restaurant at The New York EDITION.

Future dinners are in the works for London and New York, as well as an art installation at EDITION's Miami property during Art Basel in December.

Project 0 board member, actor James Jagger said: "The ocean supports all life on Earth, providing every second breath we take.  The ocean drives climate, and feeds billions of people around the world. Today the ocean is in real crisis… We are thrilled to be working with the incredible team at EDITION to inspire change to undo the mess that we've made in the ocean in creative ways that reflect the ethos of both our organizations."

EDITION was conceived by Ian Schrager in partnership with Marriott International. It combines the individualized lodging experience that Ian Schrager is known for, with the global reach of Marriott.

Ben Pundole of EDITION Hotels said: "EDITION is thrilled to be partnering with Project 0 to help the important work of Ocean Conservation in any way we can. EDITION currently has 4 operating hotels, with an additional 20 due to open in the next 5 years - half of which are on the seafront or in oceanfront towns and cities. By directly addressing the use of plastics and waste from our hotels, we have an opportunity to encourage the entire industry to do the same and to help keep the oceans clean."
