UK: Another Place, a hotel collection from the team behind Cornwall's Watergate Bay Hotel, has announced its expansion plans.

Led by managing director Will Ashworth, Another Place properties will "reflect their distinct, always exceptional location. Whether on the coast, by a lake, in the countryside or the city, each hotel will derive inspiration from its particular surroundings".
The company plans to open six hotels in the next 10 years, including the aspiration of growing into northern Europe and America.
It has recently received investment from the independent investor, Actev, owned by Gavyn Davies and Sue Nye. Davies is currently chairman of Fulcrum Asset Management, a founding partner of Anthos Capital and Active Private Equity, and a senior advisor to Prisma Capital, a KKR subsidiary. Nye is a member of the House of Lords and a former director of government relations for prime minister Gordon Brown.
Nye said: "Actev is committed to supporting and investing in family and owner-managed businesses. Its investment philosophy is to select exceptional management teams such as the Another Place team and to support them by providing capital for growth."
The first hotel to join Another Place is on the shores of Ullswater, in the Lake District.  The hotel, previously knowns as Rampsbeck was purchased by the Another Place team in May 2015.  An investment of £3.5 million from Actev is transforming this 18th century building from a 19-bedroom to a 40-bedroom hotel, and will see a number of family suites and dog-friendly rooms. Set in 18 acres of secluded, unspoilt parkland, the vision is to "connect guests with the great outdoors".
