Portugal: Thai hospitality company Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas will open Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort on April 1, 2017.

Located along southern Portugal's Algarve coast, Europe's first Anantara property will overlook the Arnold Palmer-designed Oceânico golf course, 15 minutes from Faro International Airport. The property is currently operating as Tivoli Victoria, with a number of key renovations being undertaken prior to relaunching as Anantara Vilamoura.

The resort will feature 280 guest rooms and suites, with most guest rooms interconnecting and a new luxury family suite category category accommodating up to four guests. The two-bedroom Anantara Suite will feature a large terrace with a private dining area, Jacuzzi and sundeck.

Other amenities include a kids club, four swimming pools, a floodlit tennis court, fitness centre, spa, and six restaurants.

The resort will offer venues for all types of events - from VIP dinners and weddings, to product launches and large scale conferences. The stand-alone conference centre has capacity for up to 800 people in its eight rooms, most with natural light, and offers direct access for both delegates and set up vehicles, as well as to the hotel car park.
