Owner seeks developers for derelict Northern Ireland hotel

UK: Owner of The Drumnagreagh Hotel in Glenarm hopes to transform the abandoned property
The owner of The Drumnagreagh Hotel in Glenarm, Northern Ireland is hoping to find developers willing to help him restore the once-popular property.
The current owner bought the hotel in 2009, following a devastating fire that engulfed the disused building, gutting the interior of the property.
The property has been advertised as a "unique coastal residential or commercial development opportunity" with "unrivalled sea views". it is located on the Coast Road in Glenarm, which has benefitted from an influx in tourists in recent years.
Gavin Weir, from GVA NI property consultants, said: "The hotel is completely derelict, so it is really a redevelopment opportunity. You would be starting from scratch again. The original old house is pretty bad due to the fire a number of years ago. Because it was such a substantial building there are quite a few commercial uses for it from a planning point of view."
