New owners and makeover for The West Arms

UK: The West Arms, an inn with rooms in the Ceiriog Valley, North Wales, has completed the first part of a makeover following new ownership.

The 16th century country hotel, taken over by husband and wife team Mark and Nicky Williamson in February 2018, has relaunched itself under a new brand and look.
Recently awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, The West Arms offers sixteen rooms and is home to a Good Food Guide acclaimed restaurant run by chef Grant Williams.

Nicky Williamson said: "We have taken time to enhance the building's old charm and character with the help of local craftsmen. We have reinvigorated the hotel's historic features including exposed beams, flagstone floors and inglenook fireplaces to give the property a brighter look as well as uncovering some of the property's original Victorian flooring. This is our calling. We both have very fond childhood memories of the Welsh countryside so to be able to move back here and do what we love best is like 'living the dream'. A visit to the Ceiriog Valley is often described by many of our guests as 'other worldly'. It's a special place with so many Welsh wonders to unlock."
