Marriott Tribute Hotel to be called the Bellyard

US: The Interlock – a $140 million multi-use project in Atlanta – will return a 161 key, boutique hotel named the Bellyard.

Once complete, the hotel will stretch across seven storeys, equating to roughly 110,000 square feet.

The lobby, restaurant, bar, and meeting space, will share a single floor, sitting above two floors of retail space that is currently under construction by S. J. Collins Enterprises – the master developer of The Interlock.

S. J. Collins will deliver its achievements to Three P Partners – the development company overseeing the Marriott tribute hotel – in October, at which point the construction on Bellyard will begin.

Stephen C. Polhill, a principal with Three P Partners, said: “The neighbourhood is overdue for a project like this and we’re really excited about it.”

Polhill continued: “Bellyard derived from the original name of West Midtown (Bellwood), where stockyards had a large historical presence in the area. Throughout the hotel, there will be stockyard and railroad-type elements in the design.”

Although the Bellyard’s interior is still being finalised, it is expected that the hotel will be completed in the first quarter of 2021.
