Marbella Club unveils social hub

Spain: The Marbella Club Hotel in Andalusia will open its Clubhouse this spring, comprising several indoor and outdoor spaces designed for eating, drinking, socialising, shopping and pampering.

The Clubhouse has been designed by Marie-Caroline Willms and Johanna Haniel of design studio EMCI. 

It includes the El Patio restaurant, overseen by newly-appointed head chef Sergio Arconada; Rudi’s bar named after the hotel’s first general manager Count Rudi; La Bodega, for wine tastings; two private dining spaces with adjoining outdoor patios; and a central patio flanked by a hair and beauty salon, barber, florist, gift shop, and flexible spaces for art exhibitions and pop up collaborations.

The El Patio restaurant is set to open in spring 2021. An all-day venue with outdoor seating, the menu is inspired by Andalusia’s seasonal produce with sharing dishes roasted over woodfire or chargrilled in the open outdoor kitchen.

Rudi’s bar is an intimate space for celebratory toasts and tapas as well as for evening drinks, accompanied by live music.

La Bodega is inspired by traditional wine cellars and will be presided over by sommelier Angel Gonzalez, who will host wine tasting and private gatherings.

The Clubhouse’s two private dining areas can accommodate parties of eight along with larger special occasions, and will offer bespoke menus.

Marbella Club was founded by Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe in 1954 and features 115 rooms and suites along with 17 villas. Amenities include a Kids Club and a thalassotherapy spa with a Holistic Studio.
