US: Five-star Wheatleigh Hotel has been operated by Life House since November 2020, witnessing a 76 per cent improvement in RevPAR with 72 per cent of bookings generated directly.

Wheatleigh Hotel is set on 22 acres of countryside in The Berkshires and features the AAA five diamond restaurant Portico.

Since taking over management, Life House has increased the property’s RevPAR compared to the prior operator’s pre-Covid performance, and decreased operating expenditures by 32 per cent. Overall guest satisfaction scores have also improved.

The direct bookings generated via the hotel’s website are at a marketing cost of 1.26 per cent.

Rami Zeidan, founder and CEO of Life House, said: "We have been building an operational system that empowers world class hospitality, not only the automation of costs, which is not easily understood when people hear about a tech-enabled operator. While we have automated back-office functions, we also have built software that empowers our guest-facing staff to be great at their jobs with minimal training - and we’re excited to see how that’s translated to better guest reviews and great profitability at Wheatleigh.”

Wheatleigh marks Life House’s seventh hotel in New England, joining other properties in the region including Faraway, Life House in Nantucket, and Kelley House in Martha’s Vineyard. Additional hotels are under contract across the East Coast.

Rick Newton and David Gason of Resort Capital Partners advised the owner of Wheatleigh on the selection of Life House as the hotel’s operator.
