Switzerland: A third Leonardo Hotel in Zurich, located at the city's airport, is scheduled to open in February 2020.

The future hotel will be an addition to the existing Leonardo Hotels Swiss portfolio: Alden Suite Hotel Splügenschloss and the Leonardo Boutique Hotel Rigihof Zurich.

Yoram Biton, managing director of Leonardo Hotels Central Europe, said: "Zurich is very important for our company group. It is promarily an economically lucrative location, but clearly also an attractive holiday destination. We are extremely delighted to launch our third property here, thereby strengthening our local presence. Guests will especially benefit from the fast connections to the airport terminals and the city centre of Zurich. The excellent location appeals to business travellers as well as leisure tourists."

The Leonardo Hotel at Zurich Airport will be built in accordance with the latest ecological standards and will feature 116 rooms which include four rooms with Longstay amenities. The lobby, restaurant and bar will be located on the ground floor. Meeting rooms, fitness area, outdoor terrace and parking areas are also planned. The construction of the hotel project is being implemented with Burgring AG Immobilien.

Burgring AG is a real estate company that has been operating for over 30 years in Glattbrugg, Switzerland. The hotel project was initialised a few years ago by the real estate investor and owner of Burgring AG and implemented accordingly. Furthermore, in the development area of West Gate, right next to the hotel, a larger office complex is being planned, which also belongs to the project portfolio of Burgring AG.
