Spain: Kempinski Hotel Bahia Estepona in Marbella has released plans for its extensive redesign

The five star Kempinski Hotel Bahia in Estepona, Marbella has announced that the redesign of  lobby and culinary venues will begin at the end of this year.

The changes will take place as part of an extensive investment in the hotel. The management team and architects, Akos Bara, have plans to create modern, elegant and opulent public spaces, embracing the essence of Kempinski Hotels, Europe's oldest luxury Hotel Collection.

The redesign will run from December 2017 to March 2018, and for the comfort of guests, the hotel and spa will be closed from the 11th of December 2017 until the 16th of February 2018.

General manager Carla Lopes said: "Guest experience is paramount to us and we do not wish to dilute it, therefore during the most invasive part of the redesign we have decided to close our doors. I'm extremely proud to lead this project and we will return to the market in a stronger position as we unveil a contemporary, luxurious environment that also celebrates our hotel's heritage and beachfront location."

The reimagined culinary venues will feature fashionable dining concepts and the new lobby will be an elegant space. The redesign is part of a wider investment that forms part of the company's long-term vision for the resort.
