UK: Stately home Kelham Hall in Nottinghamshire is set to be converted into a luxury boutique hotel

Plans have been announced to convert former stately home Kelham Hall into a luxury hotel.

The Grade I listed building was purchased by Kelham Hall Company from Newark and Sherwood District Council in November 2014. The building was previously used as the council's headquarters.

Planning permission was granted on 1 December to turn the home in to a hotel, wedding venue and spa facility.

Kelham Hall was built in 1863. The Great Chapel (now the Kelham Dome) was added in the 1920s. The chapel is currently used as a wedding venue.

Head of the Kelham Hall Company Jonathan Pass also owns Charlotte House in Lincoln, Nent Hall in Cumbria, Bail House hotel in Lincoln, and Hollingwood Hall in Chesterfield.
