Israel: Isrotel has announced plans to open a new Tel Aviv property

Israeli hotel chain Isrotel has announced plans to lease and operate a luxury boutique hotel in Tel Aviv.

The new hotel is set to open in 2022. It will be part of Tel Aviv Municipality's major renovation program that will involve preservation of several of the buildings in Nahlat Binyamin Street.

The new property will join a growing trend of boutique hotels in Israel. The trend is being encouraged by authorities to deal with a lack of rooms in the Tel Aviv area.

Isrotel CEO Lior Raviv said: "We are talking about a relatively small hotel with an urban neighborhood atmosphere with less rooms than we usually have. It will include 87 rooms and commercial space."

Isrotel operates 18 hotels around Israel. The company owns and operates around 3,820 rooms.
