Mexico: Hilton has announced that it will open two new properties in Cancun

Hilton is set to open two beachfront properties in the resort destination of Cancun: Waldorf Astoria Cancun and Hilton Cancun.

Developed by Parks Hospitality and set to open in 2021, the neighbouring properties will be situated across 100 acres of Caribbean beachfront.

Juan Corvinos, vice president of development, Latin America and the Caribbean, Hilton said: "With more than half of our Latin America portfolio present in Mexico, we are proud to announce the plans for Waldorf Astoria Cancun and Hilton Cancun as we continue to introduce distinguished properties in the world's most sought-after destinations. Representing our luxury and upscale brands respectively, Waldorf Astoria Cancun and Hilton Cancun will offer guests a taste of Mexican culture fused with Waldorf Astoria's uncompromising sophistication and Hilton Hotels & Resort's flagship hospitality."

Waldorf Astoria Cancun will feature 150 guest rooms and suites, with waterfront or mangrove-facing terraces and private balconies. The property will house the signature Waldorf Astoria spa, integrating Mexican healing traditions with native ingredients, fitness facilities, two plunge pools and two dining settings.

The neighbouring all-inclusive Hilton Cancun resort will feature 600 guest rooms offering panoramic views. The Hilton resort will welcome guests to relax on the beach, lounge at the swimming pool complex, and experience curated adventures in local art, gastronomy and culture. The hotel will also feature six all-inclusive dining options.

Hilton currently has a portfolio of more than 100 hotels and resorts open and welcoming travellers in Latin America, including more than 50 in Mexico.
