Greece: Koukoumi Boutique Hotel 4* will open this summer in Ano Mera Mykonos, and marks the first and only vegan hotel in Greece.

The boutique property comprises 14 suites, all decorated with natural material.

Aiming to promote sustainable practices and recycling, the hotel features Coco-mat mattresses, solar water heaters, a magnesium pool, and a drainage water treatment system.

Vegan chef Angeliki Charami has created a Greek-inspired menu consisting of raw food recipes. All food is handmade with minimal processing, and ranges from breads and cakes included in the breakfast buffet to fresh pasta and vegan burgers for meals.

The hotel’s spa uses products that are 100 per cent natural and produced in Greece with essential oils. These products are not tested on animals, do not contain any synthetic preservatives, and have recyclable packaging.

Additionally, the fitness centre provides guests with custom made cross-functional training programmes curated by a personal trainer. Group activities such as yoga or running are also offered on and off-site.
