UK: After closing its doors due to government guidelines, the three properties of Farncombe estate have banded together to offer reward packages to NHS workers.

The group’s NHS Hero programme allows people to nominate a NHS worker to win one of a series of various prizes.

The group has committed to offering a variety of unique rewards, which include posh dinners, spa time, and movie nights when the hotels reopen. The first giveaway is already underway, and has seen over 2100 nominations already.

Andrew Grahame, Farncombe Estate CEO said: “It’s a hugely challenging time for our industry, but we want to focus on all the positive things we can do during the closure of our hotels.”

Nominations are available on the Facebook pages for the three hotels that make up the Farncombe Estate. The group has also been updating their social media about the way its team is handling life in isolation.

The year prior has been busy for Dormy House, one of the primary properties on Farncombe, appointing both a new head chef as well as a new general manager. The hotel has promised to keep in touch with those who have booked as to what their plans are for reopening.

Grahame added: “It’s a small gesture but the reaction has been incredible. Thank you to everyone who has already nominated their #NHSHeroes and for sharing their amazing stories with us all.”
