UK: Dorsett Hospitality International to host ‘Cloud Boat’ installation at Shepherds Bush hotel

Dorsett Shepherd's Bush has announced that it will now permanently house an art installation titled 'Cloud Boat' by internationally renowned Chinese sculpter Cai Zhisong.

The 'Cloud Boat' is part of the Cloud series by Zhisong. It was first created in 2011 to interpret the artists own view of life. One of the pieces of art from the series sold at the highest recorded price of 6.9 million RMB (approximately £7.9 million) for a domestic sculpture at the Poly 2012 Spring Art Auction.

Dorsett Hospitality International's President and Executive Director, Winnie Chiu said: "I'm incredibly passionate about supporting Asian artists, many pieces are located at our headquarters in Hong Kong including the famous 'Lotus' by Huang Yongy and the 'Soul of Money £10 Note' sculpture by Jose Maria Cano can be found in the lobby of the Dorsett City hotel in London. With the addition of the 'Cloud Boat' piece at Dorsett Shepherds Bush, both London hotels under the Dorsett Hospitality International brand will display famous Asian art installations."
