US: Located in downtown Fishers, Indianapolis, the $21 million development will be overseen by Dora Hotel Co., and Browning Investments.

The five-storey Hotel Nickel Plate will be built on 116th Street at the site of the $157 million Nickel Plate Station development.

Dora Hotel Co., will manage the property in partnership with Hilton as part of its Tapestry Collection. It will be co-owned with Browning, which will build the hotel.

Fishers is borrowing $36.5 million to finance the project through two bond issues. Dora will be provided with $2.1 million for construction from an existing tax increment financing district, which will excuse permit and waiver fees.

On the north side of the Nickel Plate Station project, which extends across both sides of 116th Street, Browning plans three buildings: 236,000 square-feet of apartments and town homes, 10,500 square-feet of retail space, and parking for 341 cars.

"We are eager to bring Hotel Nickel Plate to downtown Fishers. This project is especially fun for us because we get to bring such a cool project to our own backyard," said Tim Dora, president of Dora Hotel Company. "We are excited to see the development of downtown Fishers and to team up with Browning and the City of Fishers".

Browning president and CEO, John Hirschman, added: "The Hotel Nickel Plate exemplifies the key factors that make the Nickel Plate District one of the most exciting places in central Indiana: great brands, collaboration among established leaders, strong community support, outstanding placemaking, and an ambitious vision. Browning is delighted to be a part of the team that's making big things happen for the people of Fishers and central Indiana".

Hotel Nickel Plate could be completed by 2021.
