Elaine Powis

Elaine has a catering background stemming from her enjoyment of catering college where she was taught butchery, bakery, diets, allergies, five-star dining/A la Carte and so much more involved with a catering establishment. She is a MRIPH (Member of the Royal Institute Of Public Health & Hygiene) which later became Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH). Her various roles have involved devising menus for a frozen food company’s customers, advising supermarkets on their food offers, representing a catering equipment wholesaler and national catering equipment manufacturers. Elaine and husband Andrew founded Sterling Foodservice Design 24 years ago. With Andrew’s vast knowledge of operational catering and design and Elaine’s knowledge of catering equipment and Health and Safety they soon became an award winning international consultancy.
