EU: Six Senses will open its second European ski resort in Kitzbuehel, Austria, in 2021.

Comprising 77 rooms and suites, Six Sense Kitzbuehel is situated in the largest protected habitat in Europe - the Hohe Tauern National Park.

World-renowned interior designer, Martin Brudnizki, will be using local and organic materials to "bring the outdoors in."

"It's great to work with progressive developers who allow us to execute our vision and go to places never gone before," he said. "We challenge ourselves every single day on this project to stay true to our style, develop it further, and to deliver on the Six Senses out of the ordinary brand promise."

The hotel's restaurants, The Kitchen and lodge-style The Tavern, will feature a farm-to-table concept supplied with produce from local mountain farmers and its own on-site herb garden.

The Cabin bar and The Pantry will also feature in the food and beverage offering.

In addition to the immediate facilities, the resort said it will offer destination dining in igloos and tree pods.

Other activities include forest bathing in the woods and signing up to an environmental education at its Earth Lab. Hiking, cycling, and swimming will all be available in the summer months.

A Six Senses Spa, spread across three floors, will include an indoor and outdoor pool, non-invasive anti-ageing centre, a biohack lab, and a kid's spa.

As well as the main hotel, 15 chalets and 45 apartments will go on sale. The ski-in, ski-out chalets will include four or five bedrooms and come equipped with an all-electric Porsche Taycan - a new zero-emission supercar. Residents will also have use of Porsche designed e-bikes.

Forming part of the InterContinental Hotels Group, the Six Senses portfolio now includes 18 hotels and resorts and 30 spas in 21 countries. A further 19 properties are in the pipeline.
