UK: London hotels have reported the highest average daily (ADR) and revenue per available room rates (revpar) during the month of July.

According to statistics by data company STR, ADR increased by 3.3 per cent to £176.07 at the beginning of the month, and revPAR by 2.4 per cent to £159.30 - likely due to the tennis at Wimbledon.

Overall, London enjoyed an occupancy rate of above 90 per cent for 20 nights, despite occupancy slipping by 0.9 per cent to 90.5 per cent.

The 1.5 per cent increase in room supply was ahead of a 0.6 per cent increase in demand.

STR announced it will release its full figures for July later this month.
