Mexico: Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has announced the opening of two hotels in the affluent neighbourhood of Polanco in Mexico City next year.

The two hotels are owned by ZKC - a real estate investment fund specialising in development projects throughout Mexico City.

ZKC will be working in collaboration with development company VineTower Development LLC, architect Ambrosi Etchegaray, and design firm Arquitectura de Interiores.

Maurico Khalifa, partner for ZKC, said: "These two projects will complement, but be distinct from one another, bringing an award-winning hospitality brand to a highly sought-after location. We're excited to marry Kimpton's expertise with our deep knowledge of the region."

A distinguishing feature between the hotels involve the number of guestrooms - one will offer 32, whereas the other will offer 48.

Similarly, both will present a signature restaurant and rooftop bar. Other amenities will include complimentary bikes, yoga mats in every guestroom, morning tea and coffee, and a nightly social hour.

CEO at Kimpton Hotels & Resorts, Mike DeFrino, commented: "Polanco will be home to Kimpton's first two boutique hotels in the country and illustrates our continued growth in the Americas. We look forward to bringing Kimpton's irreverent spirit and heartfelt hospitality to life with ZKC and VineTower."
