UK: A combination of A.I and cloud-based technologies has been successfully integrated in Eccleston Square Hotel, a London-based smart hotel.

The luxury accommodation is one of the first in the world to provide guests with 4K TV content, along with exclusive use of Sonos Beam soundbars.

Guests can control their room using a touch sensitive keypad from VDA's Vitrum glassware collection. This technology interfaces with the hotel's building management system, whereby staff can change settings to 'dormant' meaning unnecessary electronic items are switched off when the room is vacant.

A complimentary mobile smartphone - with built-in concierge and butler service - is even handed to guests, offering unlimited free calls to British and international mobile and landline numbers.

Olivia Byrne, company director of Eccleston Square Hotel, said: "Artificial intelligence, and the integration of technology done well, saves time so that energies can be spent on the guest experience rather than dealing with manual work behind a computer."

Rooms are not only equipped with UK, EU, and US power sockets, but other facilities include a Nespresso coffee machine and a daily, re-stocked free mini bar for those who book directly.

For meetings and events, the media lounge is furnished with a media wall - a large screen controlled by high-speed WiFi that can be used for presentations.

Guests also have private use of the hotel's botanical gardens which features a variety of pick-nicking spots and a tennis court.
