Norway: Marriott is set to open its third Moxy hotel in Norway, this time Tromsø, in the far north.

Tromsø is a hub for travellers who want to experience the Northern Lights. The 200-key property is expected to open in late 2021.

"We are eager to open a unique hotel brand in Norway that differs from the market's saturation of local brands," said Per Denker Sørensen, CEO of hotel operator Core Hospitality, which will manage the property.

"The natural beauty of Tromsø is evident, so we have decided to design the reception and common areas on the top floor. This allows all our guests to enjoy the wonderful view from the 11th floor while they have a meal and cocktails from the bar."

Marriott has already opened Moxy Oslo X, and another is being developed in Bergen, which will also be operated by Core Hospitality.
