UK: A 15-bedroom boutique hotel on London's Brick Lane in London has been opened by the team behind the nearby Culpeper.

The Buxton has been restored into a boutique hotel and pub and takes its name in homage to former Truman brewery owner, Sir Thomas Buxton who lived and worked on Brick Lane.

The five-storey hotel is the second to be opened by the team behind The Culpeper, on nearby Commercial Street, which launched in 2016.

Each of the 15 bedrooms are feature "bespoke, multifunctional furniture", and are priced at a flat rate of £100.

A rooftop space has views over the East End and is planted with an array of herbs that are used in the kitchen.

The open kitchen and bar on the ground floor is the focal point for the large open space, with an a la carte menu featuring regional European and British dishes served throughout the day.
