UK: The latest addition to the Laura Ashley Tea Room franchise is due to open next month at The Cornwall Hotel, bringing the tearooms to Cornwall for the first time.

The tearoom, which will be called "Laura Ashley The Tea Room", will provide an afternoon tea experience in an elegant surrounding, offering an extensive menu serving treats such as baked scones, hand-crafted patisseries and a variety of teas.

The tea room will be the sixth in the Laura Ashley collection, and the first to open in the coastal county, attracting guests from near and far to celebrate a number of occasions and experience what the tea room has to offer.

It will be located in the hotel's main building, at the heart of the estate, and will be decorated to replicate signature Laura Ashley style, which aims to showcase the quintessence of England with elegant country-living.

Rebecca Coonan, general manager at The Cornwall, said: "We're absolutely thrilled to be partnering with one of the most iconic British brands and to have been selected as a location for the first one in Cornwall. We're really looking forward to the launch next month and being able to offer our hotel guests the extensive range of sweet and savoury treats in a beautifully British surrounding."

Laura Ashley The Tea Room, located at The Cornwall, will be officially open to the public on Saturday 25 May, following an exclusive VIP launch event.
