Hurawalhi Island Resort voted most romantic resort in the Indian Ocean

Maldives: Hurawalhi Island Resort in Lhaviyani Atoll, the Maldives has been awarded Most Romantic Resort In the Indian Ocean by the Love Travel Awards.

Hurawalhi Island Resort is an adults-only five-star resort that features an undersea restaurant, spa, wellbeing facilities and diving.

There are five destinations to marry on or around the island including a yacht and 5:8 restaurant. Organised by a team of event planners, the Hurawalhi Wedding Package includes a couple's massage in the run up to the day, flowers, the wedding cake, entertainment, souvenirs for the bride and groom and turn down service on their wedding night.

The team at Hurawalhi have recently launched a scuba diver proposal at 5:8. restaurant or proposals can be celebrated over a candlelit dinner on the seaside or a private picnic on Dream Island.

Hurawalhi Island Resort has also announced the launch of the 2019 dates for the new At One with the Ocean retreats. 

Hurawalhi's seasoned healers offer guests the opportunity to take part in a combination of professionally led programs including; chakra balancing, yoga, mindful meditation, visualisation techniques, sound healing, Ayurveda, marma chikitsa and Reiki - all of which can practiced during sunrise or sunset on the beach, underwater at 5.8 or in a villa. The retreat also includes spa treatments in the award-winning Duniye spa, guided reef snorkelling with a marine biologist, aqua fitness classes and cuisine at the resorts main Canneli restaurant.

Hurawalhi's group spa director and transformative wellness coach, Renate Hermes, has practiced the power of ocean healing across the globe from the USA to Europe, Bali and the Maldives. Renate offers a focus on post-injury rehabilitation, personal wellbeing, meditation, sound healing and mindfulness practices.

Energy and chakra specialist Sojeesh is the island resort's meditation and yoga guru. Staring from a young age, Sojeesh's yogic centric lifestyle and interest in healing therapy was introduced to him by his grandfather and progressed through his travels across India learning from his Gurus through the Himalayas, Gujarat, Karnataka, Bengal and Goa studying chakra and Reiki.
