US: Vandyke Bed & Beverage in East Nashville has been scheduled to open on April 1, 2019.

Vandyke Bed & Beverage is an eight-room property. It is the latest addition to the lodging market in Nashville, which is expected to add 20 hotels with 3,021 rooms in 2019, according to the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp.

Tinsley Dempsey, Vandyke Bed & Beverage's property manager, said: "We're trying to break the mould in terms of your traditional hotel concept, and I feel like that's been a trend for a while with boutique hotels. This is very localised - a lot of great art, culture, food, music."

Vandyke Bed & Beverage has a ground-floor bar and restaurant open to the public, an outdoor courtyard and a rooftop that will host events including yoga classes.

Nashville bar expert Freddy Schwenk designed the bar's menu of seasonal craft cocktails, which will be served alongside eight draft beers and wines by the glass. There will be a limited food menu available while the bar is open Wednesdays through Sundays, and brunch service will be served Fridays through Sundays.

The property has eight rooms named and designed after different spirits, including a vibrant tropical oasis (rum), a chic suite with touches of gold and rose (champagne) and a Scandinavian-inspired retreat (vodka). Several of the rooms are connected so larger parties can book adjoining rooms.

Dempsey added: "We wanted to create kind of a bespoke experience, and so the thought of just having each room related to a spirit became a design focus, our influence, if you will. If a guest comes in here and loves this piece, I want them to be able to take it home with them and then we'll curate a new piece from a local gallery."
