US: Olema House at Point Reyes National Seashore, California, is the newest addition to Mosaic Hotel Group’s portfolio of lifestyle boutique hotels.

Olema House is a 24-room retreat, located one hour north of San Francisco off California's Highway 1. It features updated cottages and a culinary program at Due West tavern.

Tim Harmon, CEO of Mosaic Hotel Group, said: "Full of history, charm and exceptional scenery, Olema House was an obvious choice for our growing collection of boutique hotels. Olema House provides an inspiring setting and access to the memorable adventures in travel and food we look for, and we're excited to usher in a new era of sophistication for the property."

Originally built in 1988, Olema House is located in Point Reyes National Seashore in Northern California. Olema House is comprised of three updated cottages, bi-level suites and guest rooms featuring either a fireplace, patio or terrace. Rates begin at $225/night on weekdays and $300/night on weekends. Olema House also offers a Dog's Life package for guest staying with pets.

Among additional amenities are an open lawn area featuring picnic tables and Adirondack chairs; and board games, binoculars and books found in The Den. Daily complimentary breakfast offerings feature locally-made Brickmaiden Bread, Equator Coffee and Marin French Cheese.

The culinary program at Due West, the hotel's modern tavern serving farm-to-table menus, is led by new Chef Justin Bruckert, who brings with him three years of experience working with Northern California ingredients across Marin County kitchens. On the reinvented happy hour menu are $1 oysters, popcorn topped with truffle shavings and cocoa powder, and house made tater tots topped with crème fraiche and caviar. The beverage program focuses on barrel-aged and reimagined classic cocktails, as well as regional wines and craft beer. Originally built in 1865, the refurbished restaurant boasts indoor and outdoor dining areas and separate private dining spaces including the Clemente Garden for up to 100 guests and The Park room for up to 40 guests.

Anticipated to open this spring is Due West Market, a roadside grab-and-go offering provisions from Due West. Designed by August Studio, Due West Market is comprised of takeaway items, a coffee and tea bar, and Olema House's forthcoming private label collection of wearable's and gift items.
