US: Located at 491 Rainbow Drive in Silverthorne, Himmelman Construction have begun work on the project.

Full construction, anticipated to take one year, is to begin mid-December.

The new hotel is to be built on the former site of the Robinson Dairy building, which was demolished with repurposing of the building materials.

Once completed, The Pad will comprise 36 rooms of 101 beds. Accommodation will be a mx of dormitory rooms, private rooms, micro-rooms and hostel-style bed rentals.

A rooftop deck and hot tub, several communal areas, a bar, gear storage, and event space are all to be featured, with the hotel's bar and lobby open to the public.

Owner, Rob Baer, commented: "The Pad will not only be for tourists but will be a home base for a wide range of community activities and events. It is our genuine hope that The Pad will be a hub for both tourists and local residents to make new friends and create new adventures".
