US: Pete Sams has been appointed as the chief operating officer for Davidson Hotels & Resorts.

Sams will be responsible for driving profitability for the company's portfolio of more than 50 hotels and resorts across the United States.

With nearly 30 years' experience, Sams joins the company from Interstate Hotels & Resorts, where he served as executive vice president of full-service operations.
