Graduate Hotels acquires Macdonald Randolph Hotel

UK: Graduate Hotels, owned by Adventurous Journeys (AJ) Capital Partners, has announced the acquisition of a property in Oxford.

Renovations of the 151-key hotel will begin in the fall of 2020, and is scheduled to open in the early spring of 2021.

The design of Graduate Oxford will be inspiredly the history of the city's university and tradition, paying homage to storied creators, innovators and notable alumni.

This marks the second Graduate Hotels property to launch outside of the US, following the announcing earlier this year of the forthcoming Graduate Cambridge.

Located in the centre of Oxford, the hotel is close to St. Giles Street and a range of restaurants, bars and shopping, as well as the Radcliffe Camera and Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology.

Founded by CEO Ben Weprin in 2014, Graduate Hotels currently has 21 open and operating hotels across the US. 12 additional properties are under development, which are slated to open by the end of 2021.

AJ Capital Partners, based in Chicago, is a team of hospitality and real estate investors. The company has recently acquired the Rusacks Hotel, from the Macdonal Hotels & Resorts portfolio, in St Andrews, Scotland.
