Devon’s Bovey Castle appoints general manager

UK: The Eden Hotel Collection has appointed Claire Randall as general manager of the five-red-star hotel and country estate in Dartmoor National Park.

With over 30 years of experience in the luxury hotel industry, Randall's previous role as general manager was held at The Idle Rocks and St. Mawes Hotel in Cornwall. Prior to this, she held a long-standing position at Lucknam Park near Bath as managing director.

As well as holding several management positions, Randall also spent six years as a hotel and restaurant inspector for the Michelin Guide.

Randall, who will start her role in January 2020, said: "I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Bovey Castle in Dartmoor - one of the UK's most iconic luxury country house hotels - which provides a wide range of experiences to guests coupled with hospitality of the highest quality".

Following the acquisition of Bovey Castle by Eden Hotel Collection in 2014, the hotel has won numerous awards, including the AA's highest accolade: five red AA stars.

The property is set in 275 acres of countryside, the flagship Eden property has 60 bedrooms, 22 lodges, an 18-hole championship golf course, tennis courts, an Elan spa, as well as its own deer park.
