Hong Kong: Guillaume Gallas has been appointed general manager in a dual role overseeing the Novotel Citygate Hong Kong and The Silveri Hong Kong - Mgallery.

Born in France, Gallas has more than 20 years of experience leading luxury and boutique hotels and restaurants.

He has held key management roles in Greater China, including The Mira Hong Kong, Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16, and Novotel Beijing Peace.

In 2018, Gallas was honoured the Chevalier de l'Ordre du Merite Agricole (Knight of the Order of Agricultural Merit) by the French government for his contributions of introducing French cultural practices to the world.

In his new role, Gallas will oversee the operations and business performance of the two hotels. He said: "I am delighted to be returning to Hong Kong with such an exciting mission. Hong Kong has many quality hotels. With The Silveri, we're aiming to create a vivid and refreshing new lifestyle hotel that is absolutely one of a kind. I am looking forward to bringing this unique new property to life."

The Silveri Hong Kong - Mgallery is set to open early 2020.
