US: Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is taking over management of a 214-room hotel at the Porsche Experience Centre, located in Hapeville, Georgia.

The hotel opened in 2017 as the Solís Two Porsche Drive. It was a new hotel brand for the city, from a man who helped found The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co.

But, Schulze's WP Hospitality Group is now longer managing the hotel.

According to an announcement, it will be rebranded as the Kimpton Overland Hotel.

Mike DeFrino, CEO of Kimpton, said the property is the: "Perfect opportunity for us to further establish our presence in Georgia and expand our portfolio in the Southeast."

He went onto say that Kimpton will offer amenities such as in-room yoga mats, pet friendliness and evening wine hour.

The hotel features a rooftop bar called Overdrive Lounge with panoramic views of the Porsche handling course. It also has a full-service Mediterranean restaurant called Apron.

Kimpton has one other hotel in Georgia, the Kimpton Brice Hotel in Savannah. It was previously managed by the Hotel Palomar in Midtown and was rebranded as a Marriott Renaissance in 2011.
