UK: The five-star Palé Hall in North Wales, has announced the appointment of Debbie Cappadona as its new general manager.

Formerly front of house manager at the property, Debbie was handpicked by owners Alan and Angela Harper who recognised her as a huge asset to Palé Hall. Debbie, who was previously restaurant manager for La Brasserie at The Chester Grosvenor Hotel, is committed to ensuring that Palé Hall's growing reputation for guest service is maintained and will use her knowledge of 28 years in the hospitality industry to help achieve this.  To co-inside with this, Philip Newman-Hall, former director of Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, has come onboard as advisor and mentor to the team at the hotel.

Owner Angela Harper said: "We are incredibly happy to appoint Debbie as general manager at Palé Hall. Working with her for the last four months, Debbie has been invaluable to us and the wider team and we are delighted she has accepted this role."

Debbie Cappadona commented: "I'm thrilled and honoured that the Harpers have entrusted me with the responsibility of leading the talented Palé Hall team through the next stage of the hotel's journey. I'm really looking forward to continuing Palé's amazing achievements over the last two years and bringing my experience and passion to this magnificent property with its rich history. I couldn't be more excited!"

Born in Chester, Debbie's passion for hospitality started at a young age as her family was involved in the restaurant, pub and hotel industry. Working in a number of hotels at the start of her career, Debbie was front of house manager at Llyndir Hall and general manager of two Feathers Group properties in Chester, the Westminster hotel and Queen hotel, where she spent 11 years. Away from hotels Debbie ran her own outside catering company before joining Manchester United's Sport and Leisure department as head of VIP hospitality which she held for seven years before landing the restaurant manager role at The Chester Grosvenor. After spending three years in this role Debbie joined the Palé Hall in Autumn 2018.

Speaking about his advisory role at the hotel Philip Newman-Hall said: "I am delighted to be working with Angela and Alan Harper on mentoring their young and enthusiastic team at Palé Hall. They have shown by their dedication to this lovely property that it is possible to reinvigorate a house and bring it back to life with the highest standards. No other privately owned country house hotel, that I can think of, has achieved so many accolades in such a short space of time and I am sure  that I can, with them and Debbie help develop the team to continue to provide exceptional levels of food and service to their guests in this beautiful part of Wales."

Palé Hall holds five AA Red Stars and three AA rosettes.
