Turkey: The latest Edition hotel from Marriott has opened in the Aegean resort of Bodrum.

The property, the latest collaboration between Marriott and Ian Schrager, overlooks the Yalikavak bay on the Turkish Riviera.

Set within 22,000 square metres of grounds, the landscaping reflects the peninsula's indigenous flora and fauna. Native olive trees and local stone have been used throughout the resort, which has its own white sand beach.

As the horseshoe-shaped grounds slope downward towards the beach and jetty with its private cabanas, the pathways and leisure areas are interspersed by the hotel's 102 guest rooms, bungalows with private pools, and four-bedroom private villas with pools. Between these are the lounge bars, and cocktail areas, as well as the hotel's two signature restaurants by Peruvian chef Diego Munoz, formerly of El Bulli and Mugaritz.

Discetto, the resort's night club plays host to live music, DJs, cocktail mixology and bar and lounge areas. For private events and business travellers, the hotel offers 1,200 square metres of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space including meeting studios, a ballroom for events, parties, and weddings.
