UK: Luke Millikin has been appointed as general manager of Hotel du Vin Cheltenham.

Millikin brings considerable experience to the role. Most recently, he oversaw the launch of the Calcot Manor Group's Painswick Hotel in Stroud in 2016, where he then stayed on as GM. He has also held deputy GM roles at IBIS and the Abode Hotels Group.

"I loved my time at Painswick, but I was ready for a new challenge and was looking for the opportunity to work for a bigger hotel, or one in a vibrant town centre," said Millikin. "With Hotel du Vin I found both. I'm delighted to have been appointed general manager at one of the town's best and most-loved hotels, and to have inherited such a fantastic team. I'm really looking forward to getting to know our guests and the local community."

Scott Harper, COO of Malmaison Hotel du Vin, said, "Luke's impressive experience made him a natural choice for the General Manager role. I'm delighted to welcome him to Hotel du Vin and look forward to working with him to further build on the hotel's success."
