Ruby Hotels to launch London property

UK: Ruby Hotels is to open its first UK property in London
German brand Ruby Hotels will launch its first UK property in London next year.
The 76-room Ruby Lucy is due to open by the end of 2019. It will be housed in a newly-built property on Lower Marsh, close to Waterloo station.
The Ruby Group operates hotels in Vienna, Dusseldorf, Munich and Hamburg, and has announced plans for a property in Zurich. The brand prides itself on providing "lean luxury".
A spokesperson said: "Like all our hotels, Ruby Lucy will follow the lean luxury philosophy. We consistently leave away things we deem as unimportant. We don't need a restaurant or room service in a hotel that is located in the heart of the city - we'd rather show you the best hotspots in our neighbourhood to make the most of your stay. We don't need huge rooms, because luxury can also work in confined spaces."
