UK: BrewDog has announced plans to open a hotel in Scotland

Craft beer company BrewDog are set to open a boutique hotel for beer-lovers near the company's headquarters in Scotland.

The 26-room hotel will offer beer taps in the rooms, a beer fridge in the shower and bedrooms featuring views of the brewery, with BrewDog promising an " immersive experience" for beer fans.

BrewDog introduced the DogHouse concept last year with the announcement of a hotel in Columbus, Ohio. Ground was broken at the site in November 2017.

James Watt, BrewDog co-founder, said: "The DogHouse is our gift to passionate craft beer fans making the pilgrimage to our brewery in Aberdeenshire. The idea of opening a beer hotel has always been high on our agenda, and now we are finally able to realise that dream, right here at our HQ. This will be the ultimate destination for craft beer fans seeking hops with their holidays. This is a beer Nirvana."

The hotel is set to open early next year.
