UK: Boutique hotel brand Dakota will open a Manchester property in May 2019.

Dakota Manchester will bring some of the largest hotel bedrooms and suites in the city. Located on Ducie Street, close to Piccadilly Station, Dakota has 137 rooms, including 27 suites. The penthouse suite named the Grand Deluxe, is set to be the largest suite in the city.

The property will feature The Grill brasserie, a bar and champagne room, and a cigar garden.

It will be the fifth hotel in the Dakota group, a partnership between hotelier Ken McCulloch and Evans Property Group. The creative team is headed by designer Amanda Rosa.

The brand's name was inspired by the Dakota aircraft, which "transformed the face of air travel by offering style and impeccable service at affordable prices, and the Dakota brand has applied this ethos to its hotels, providing guests with sincere hospitality and service that oozes timeless, classic values and an unforgettable experience".
