US: Design firm Meyer Davis Studio is set to reveal its design of the Merrion Row Hotel and Public House in Manhattan next month.

The 28-room boutique concept will be created inside a renovated Beaux-Arts structure near Bryant Park with "a rich, natural aesthetic reflective of Meyer Davis' signature sophistication".

"Channeling Dublin through a contemporary lens", interiors will be lined with white oak floors beneath Irish-inspired plaid drapery. The Public House pub and restaurant will serve as the anchor of the first floor with a custom communal table and other soft seating options. In addition to flexible, residential-style meeting spaces, a conservatory outfitted with a retractable glass roof will provide a multifunctional environment for guests.

In the guest rooms, notes of green and blue will be conveyed through fabrics, while original photography of the Irish countryside and portraits of Irish writers will emphasis the theme. A "classic New York style" will be captured in bathrooms with black and white subway tiling installed alongside Calcutta white marble vanities, glass-panelled showers, deep blue ceilings and brass fixtures as well.
