UK: embedded chip can make any electronic hotel lock accessible without replacing lock

4Suites has announced the launch of an embedded electronic chip that allows hotels to gain mobile access to any hotel lock without replacing original locks.

Technology company 4Suites BV combines a mobile app, lock hardware chips and SaaS as an integrated solution for mobile access.

Lennart de Haan, 4Suites' co-founder and CEO, said: "Hotels need to upgrade to mobile access but do not want to invest in expensive new hotel locks. We focused on a universal and cost effective solution to offer keyless entry without replacing current locks where keycards will still be operational. We are really excited to announce our new embedded chip that can be placed within any electronic lock and makes it mobile accessible through our cloud platform at almost no investment costs."

The new embedded chip will be displayed at the Hotel Tech Live Exhibition in London on 26 and 27 September.
