UK: Nobu Hotel Shoreditch, the first European hotel from the Nobu Hotels brand, will open in London in June.

The hotel will feature 143 guest rooms and seven suites, just off Shoreditch's Great Eastern Street, as well as London's newest Nobu restaurant, a lobby bar, extensive meeting spaces and 24 hour in-room dining.

The property's design the result of the collective efforts of Ron Arad Architects and Ben Adams Architects.  The original scheme, by Ron Arad Architects, features overhanging floor slabs and cantilevered steel beams forming a frayed edge to the east, where a landscaped garden is terraced to provide natural light to the restaurant space. Ron Arad Architects left the project in 2013 and Ben Adams Architects was appointed in December 2013 to develop the design and complete the project.

The 240 seat, Nobu Shoreditch restaurant was designed by Studio PCH. The interior of the hotel was designed by local designers, Studio Mica.

Nobu Hotel Shoreditch will be opening its pocket garden, creating a new public space between the street and the hotel.

Each of the 143 guest rooms features black joinery, exposed concrete structure and soft textiles, juxtaposed with bright white bathrooms, featuring a walk-in rain shower and custom-designed gold washbasin.
