USA: IMH has acquired MacArthur Place Hotel & Spa in California

Real estate, finance, and hospitality investment company IMH Financial Corporation has bought MacArthur Place Hotel & Spa.

The MacArthur is an upscale 64-room hotel situated on five acres of land in Sonoma, California. IHM already manages L'Auberge de Sedona and Orchards Inn, both located in Sedona, Arizona.

Lawrence Bain, chairman and CEO of IMH said: "The historical significance and provenance of MacArthur Place are precisely the attributes we seek when acquiring a boutique property. We look forward to bringing the same five-star level of service and quality to the Sonoma community as we have in Sedona."

The property was originally a vineyard and working ranch. Currently there are 19 buildings on the parcel, including a spa, restaurant and swimming pool. IMH is planning a renovation of the entire facility, including reception, culinary venues, spa, pool and all of the guest rooms and suites.

Suzanne Brangham, developer of the hotel said: "IMH are stewards first, who will honor the heritage of MacArthur Place while taking Sonoma hospitality to the next level.  We are excited about IMH's plans to build on what we created here at MacArthur Place and continuing to improve it for future guests."
