Hotel at Avalon appoints general manager

US:Thomas Lind given top position in new Autograph Collection development

Hospitality industry veteran Thomas Lind has been appointed as general manager of the soon-to-be-opened Hotel at Avalon in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Over the past 30 years Lind has worked in various aspects of the high-end hospitality industry including roles in development, branding and marketing.

Lind said: "The Hotel at Avalon will provide an immersive experience like nothing else for visitors to the North Fulton area and quickly produce an extraordinary wave of success. We are pushing the envelope on designing vibrant experiences for our guests that will be tailored to their specific needs, desires and interests, and I am delighted to be a part of writing the next chapter of Avalon's success."

In the past Lind has overseen project ranging from $50 million to $350 million. Past projects include the opening of the GLG Grand in Atlanta (now the Four Seasons) and Hotel Nikko, Atlanta (now the Grand Hyatt).

The hotel is set to open in January 2018. The project is being run by NAP, Stormont Hospitality and HEI Hotels & Resorts. It is an Autograph Collection property.
